Purple DAM+ can suggest image search terms for you, generated from the text of the article you are
writing. When you open the media dialog to insert an image, a row of **Suggested** search terms
appears above the search field — click one to search your media instantly, without having to think
up keywords yourself.

## How it works

1. Write or open an article in the editor.
2. Add an image (for example, add an **Image** block and choose **Media Library**, or set the
   featured image). The **Search or Upload media** dialog opens.
3. While the dialog opens, Purple reads the article text and generates a few fitting search terms.
   They appear in a **Suggested** row just below the dialog title, shown as chips.
4. Click a suggested chip to run the media search for that term. The term is also placed in the
   search field, and the chip is highlighted to show it is the active search.
5. Prefer your own wording? Just type in the search field as usual — the suggestions are optional.

The terms are a mix of single keywords and short descriptive phrases (for example
*"New York Street"* or *"Busy Manhattan street scene"*), chosen to work well against your media
library and connected sources.

### Language

The language of the suggestions is detected automatically from the article text — German articles
get German search terms, English articles get English ones.

## Setup

The feature is configured on the **AI Image Editing** settings page.

1. Go to **Settings ->** **Media → AI Image Editing**.
2. Under **AI Suggestions**, enable **AI media search terms**
   (*"Suggest search terms in the insert-image dialog"*).

The toggle can only be switched on once all prerequisites are met. If any are missing, the toggle is
disabled and a tooltip lists what is still needed:

- **Purple DAM+** is active.
- The **Purple Prompts** plugin is active.
- An **OpenAI API key** is configured in Purple Prompts.

## Good to know

- Suggestions are generated only when there is article text to work from — an empty article
  produces no suggestions.
- A lightweight, low-cost AI model is used, so suggestions appear quickly and cheaply. A short
  spinner is shown in the **Suggested** row while they are being generated.
- Nothing is saved or changed automatically: suggestions only ever pre-fill the search field when
  you click a chip.
