To connect the Hub with webhooks, the "Webhooks" plugin needs to be activated. Afterwards, the settings can be accessed by opening the "Webhooks" menu point on the "All settings" page.
How to use the Hub Webhooks
- Create a webhook in your external service and copy the URL.
- Add the WordPress hook name you want to monitor. Common hooks include:
- save_post - When a post is saved/updated
- publish_post - When a post is published
- draft_to_publish - When a post transitions from draft to published
- future_to_publish - When a scheduled post is published
- wp_login - When a user logs in
- delete_post - When a post is deleted
- wp_insert_comment - When a comment is added
- transition_post_status - When post status changes
- wp_after_insert_post - After a post is inserted or updated
- Paste the webhook URL
- Choose whether to execute asynchronously (recommended for performance)
- Test the webhook to ensure it works
- Save your settings
