Known issues in Purple Wires

3min

The (possible correct) setup source returns "No data found to fetch." on clicking "Check mapping"

Presumption: Mapping is not well configured. In Purple Wire's main settings, the mapping for the type of source can be predefined and will be used if no special mapping for the created source is defined.

As shown in the above example, “<Article>” is set as item holder mapping.

Solution: Check (if possible) the feed you want to fetch.

As you can see, The single items are enclosed by “<item>”. So you have to overwrite (in main settings or per source) the item holder mapping element to autodetect the contents of the item.

After this, you can retry “Check mapping” and it should deliver the elements within “<item>” to define the final mapping.
