Purple Hub

The source set up page services for the initial set up for importing a wires feed via Purple Wires in the Purple Hub. This article describes the functions and fields that are available on that page.

Support for

Define the type of call (GET or POST) and add additional arguments to the call if wanted or needed.

Here you can set up the author for fetched articles. If you have chosen a field in source item set related to author, you can set up how to handle the imported author.

Source type can be set manually to try a successful fetching of an unknown source.

Article type after import can be set to

Article state after import is 'fetched' for 'Purple Wires Preview' or 'draft', 'pending' or 'publish' * for any other post type.

Assign all articles to category assigns every fetched article to an existing Hub category.

*Automatic publishing is only working with new 'Background publish' option.

Import only articles with source category

Import only articles with source keyword/tag

Both fields allow a configuration of articles, that will be fetched if they match the condition(s). The matching will be done at the end of content conversion so if there is a conditional setup creating the categories, it will be matched on that created ones.

Matching can be done by single words that will be combined with an OR-connection or words combined by '+'-Sign

Setup interval for automatic fetching.
