# Overview

A quick reference for all Media Library-related settings and where to find them.

## Hub UI Settings

### Sidebar Visibility

Controls which items appear in the Hub sidebar. Toggle **Media Library** off to hide it from editors. Changes take effect immediately without a page reload.

### Paid Features *(SuperAdmins only)*

Contains the **Purple DAM Plus** toggle. A tooltip lists all features included in DAM Plus. Disabling the toggle triggers a confirmation step before features are removed from the interface.

## Settings → Media → General

### EXIF / IPTC Extraction

Two columns of checkboxes control which EXIF and IPTC fields are extracted from uploaded images and stored in the database. EXIF fields are read-only in the Image Detail view; IPTC fields are editable.

### Print Version Handling

Master switch for all print-related functionality. When off, the Print Version field in the Image Detail view, the print file icon in the grid, and the Print Version filter are all hidden.

### Max-Image-Resolution *(SuperAdmins only)*

Sets the maximum width and height for uploaded images. Images exceeding those sizes will be rescaled automatically. Both values default to 2560 px. A value of 0 means no restriction.

## Settings → Media Library → Search Fields & Weighting

Defines which fields are included in Media Library search results and how heavily each is weighted. Enable individual ACF fields here to make their values searchable. After any change, a full ElasticPress reindex is required.

## Settings → Media Categories *(DAM Plus)*

Create, edit, and delete media categories. Categories support a hierarchical structure (parent → child). Assign assets to categories from their Image Detail view.
