Set Up Google Analytics 4
Purple Manager
Deprecated configuration of Google Analytics 4. This configuration will be removed soon.
Starting with PXP 3.7.0, the configuration of Google Analytics 4 is preferably done via "experience.config.json", as described in the "Web integration" section in Google Analytics 4.
This article describes the setup of Google Analytics 4 in Purple Manager so that you can enable it for tracking your Purple Experience.
As Universal Analytics is deprecated by Google and will not collect any further data, set up only Google Analytics 4 accordingly.
- A Google Analytics 4 property has been set up. To achieve this, follow the external article from Google.
- Have your 'Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID' by hand. To copy it from your account, follow the instructions in the external article from Google.
1. Go to Purple Manager –> 'Apps' -> 'Overview'
2. Click on the three dots
3. Click on 'Consent/Push/Analytics'
4. Scroll down to 'Analytics'
5. Click on 'Web'
6. Click on 'Basic Settings'
7. Go to 'Google Analytics'. Next to '03. Enable Google Analytics 4' check the checkbox
8. Next to '04. Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID' click on 'Overwrite'
9. Next to '04. Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID', paste your Google Analytics 4 ID in the entry field
10. Click on 'Save'
