Preconditions

  • Be a "Purple Managing Editor" in Purple Hub (the only role with access to set up Editorial Workflows).


Explanation

The Purple Hub works with the Editorial Workflows coming from the Oasis Workflows Plugin. Click here to read the Oasis Workflow documentation.

A workflow represents a blueprint for your editorial review process. The workflow engine executes the process flow, creates user tasks, moves the article from one step to another in a defined path and finally helps to publish or schedule the article. (Excerpt from Oasis Workflow documentation).

When you create a workflow, the first Oasis Workflow step is not the first workflow step. It is just the first review stage. The first step in creating a workflow is to define the requirements an article must fulfill to be reviewed (for example, including an article's category, featured image, links, tags, etc.).
