standard filters the post overview features a redesigned filter system that allows editors to efficiently find and organize content the filter interface provides multiple ways to narrow down the article list based on various criteria the filter system supports filtering by date, categories, tags, post status, author, language, custom taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (acf) each filter can be accessed through the filter bar, which opens a popup showing available options within each filter popup, users can search for specific items, select multiple values, and in multilingual setups, refine selections by language the interface displays the number of selected filter options as a badge on each filter button, making it easy to see which filters are active at a glance the system includes three default "quick filters" that are pre configured for common use cases "all" (showing all posts regardless of status), "published" (showing only published content), and "draft" (showing draft posts) these quick filters provide one click access to frequently used filter combinations when filters are applied, the post overview immediately updates to show only matching content, and the page count adjusts accordingly users can clear individual filters by deselecting options in their respective popups, or reset all filters at once by selecting the "all" quick filter multi language filtering when using multiple languages in your purple hub, the post overview supports cross language search and filtering both the author and taxonomy (categories/tags) filters include an "auto select all translations" checkbox that automatically includes all language variants when you select an author or category this solves the previous limitation where searches were restricted to the current language context, making it easy to find all articles by a specific author or in a specific category regardless of which language they were written in the filter popups also include a language dropdown for more granular control, and both the checkbox state and language selection are automatically saved in cookies for each user visual language indicators (flag icons) help identify which language each author or taxonomy belongs to, providing a clear overview when working with multilingual content multi language filter saved filters + sharing beyond the standard filtering capabilities, users can create and manage custom saved filters for their most frequently used filter combinations this feature allows editors to quickly access their preferred views without manually reconfiguring filters each session creating and managing saved filters is done through the settings icon in the filter bar when users apply a specific combination of filters, they can save this configuration by clicking the settings icon and choosing "save filter " the system prompts for a filter name and adds it as a new quick filter button alongside the default options saved filters remember all active filter criteria including taxonomies, dates, search terms, and custom fields users can rename existing filters through the same settings menu, and delete filters they no longer need the system prevents duplicate filter configurations, so if a saved filter is already active, the save option changes to a rename option instead saved filter sharing filters enables collaboration by allowing users to share their exact post overview view with colleagues the share functionality is accessed through the same settings menu when users click "share filter," the system automatically copies the current page url (including all active filter parameters) to the clipboard and displays a confirmation dialog the dialog explains that colleagues opening this link will see the post overview with the same filters applied, and they can then save these filters to their own quick filter collection if desired this url based approach means filters persist across sessions users can bookmark specific filter combinations, share them via email or chat, or return to them later the url captures all filter states including selected taxonomies, search terms, date ranges, and pagination, ensuring the exact view is preserved and shareable share filter
