When you navigate to the Media Library and select an image, you will see a preview of the images on the left at the different sizes you have defined in the cropping settings (e.g. Thumbnail, Medium, Large, etc.).

Customising the Cropping

You can manually adjust the cropped area by selecting an area of the picture. For example, if there's a part of the image you don't want to see, you can remove it by adjusting the crop box. Instead of the full image, only the cropped version of the image will be published.

Setting a Focal Point

If you want to emphasise a particular part of the image, you can set a focal point. Simply move the focal point around the image and the crop will automatically update at all sizes.

Previewing Changes

Once you have set the crop and/or focal point, you can preview how the image will look at different sizes before publishing by clicking on the preview images on the left.

Due to technical limitations the editor will still show the full image, even when a Crop is applied. However, only the cropped version will be published.
