App rating settings in Purple Manager explained

7min

Purple Manager

Introduction

The app rating is an optional Purple Manager feature that generates an aggregated rating of your app for display in the App Store and Google Play Store. Once enabled, your users will see a popup asking for feedback in the form of a star rating. You may set the following parameters for configuring the dialogue:

  • Days (duration after installation)
  • Sessions (number of sessions triggered by the user)

This will activate the dialogue after a certain amount of days or sessions and repeatedly after another amount of days or sessions. You may combine both criteria. In that case both criteria must be fulfilled to show the dialog. On iOS the native app rating dialog is shown. Note that this rate limited and can only be shown three times in a 365-day period.

Description

In Purple Manager, you find the App Rating Dialog settings in the App Design/General/Advanced Settings section of your app.
