Summary

If you want us to investigate reported issues with your Purple app, we may ask you for some information about your app and/or your used device. This information is provided through the feedback email feature in the app. You will also receive this information when customers report a problem to you from within the app. Read this article to learn how to find out the app version and device ID by triggering the feedback email.



Preconditions

  • Have the feedback email function enabled in your Purple app. Learn how to enable it 
  • Have an email programm e.g. like 'Mail', 'gmail' or 'Outlook' enabled on your device


How to

  1. Open the Purple app on the affected device.
  2. Open the app menu by tapping the burger menu in the upper left corner of the app.
  3. In the menu, tab to Feedback. The name of the menu item may vary depending on your application, for example, Contact or Send Message. (a letter icon is usually used).

4. Your device's email application opens. You will see the application information already summarised in the body of the email.

If you wish, you can add additional information to the feedback email body and send the email to the specified address. You can also copy and paste this information into a support ticket.
