MFA: Force Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for a Team

5min

Purple Manager

Summary

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) can be enforced in Purple Manager by ticking a checkbox that requires your entire team to configure Multi-Factor Authentication for their users. This will result in a second device being required for a user to confirm their identity when logging in to the Purple Platform.

Once the 'Force MFA for your team' feature is enabled in Purple Manager, each user will automatically be taken to the MFA configuration page and will need to configure the authenticator for their user before they can proceed.

Once enabled, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will always apply to your users on the entire Purple platform, as it is coupled with single sign-on across Purple. So, depending on which part of the product you are using (Purple Hub, Purple Manager, etc.), users will always be asked to confirm their identity, regardless of which part of the product they are trying to access.

New users have to configure MFA directly on registration.

Preconditions
