Configure TTS with Amazon Polly (generated by the Post Processor)
3rd party integrations / Purple Manager
TTS with Amazon Polly offers different languages and voices per spoken language. TTS with Amazon Polly can be configured in two ways, depending on your setup:
If your content IS imported via the Purple Importer, read Configure TTS with Amazon Polly (generated by the Importer)
If your content is not imported via Purple Importer, when using TTS, your audio files are generated by the content post-processor. In Purple, all your content is published to the Purple Content cloud. The configuration of TTS is done in Purple Manager. Learn more about it in this article.
TTS can either be configured at the 'Team' level -> Then the configuration is stored at the Team in Purple Manager and is applied to all publications belonging to it.
Important: Even if you have set all the other settings on the team, you still need to set "ttsEnabled" = true on each publication.
Or TTS can be configured at the 'Publication' level -> In this case, the configuration is only applied to the respective publication, which allows different configurations between publications, e.g. if you want to store different voices in publication 1 than in publication

The Purple Text to Speech is based on AWS Polly, the text-to-speech software from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Using this software allows you to choose from different voices per spoken language (e.g. English, German, etc.). You can find more information on the external website of the provider: https://aws.amazon.com/de/polly/
