what is hugo plus integration? the hugo plus integration connects your purple hub media library with your organization's hugo+ digital asset management (dam) system this allows you to search, browse, and import images from hugo+ directly within purple hub, and export your purple hub images back to hugo+ all without leaving your editor key benefits search and browse hugo+ images without switching systems import images with all their metadata intact (captions, copyright, keywords, etc ) export purple hub images to hugo+ with one click streamline your publishing workflow getting started prerequisites before you can use the hugo plus integration, you'll need an active hugo+ account your hugo+ api credentials (url and access tokens) administrator access to configure the integration initial setup navigate to integration settings go to media → integrations in your admin menu enter your credentials hugoplus url enter your hugo+ system url hugoplus token enter your authentication token picture api token enter your picture upload token enable the integration check the box to enable hugo plus integration save settings click "save changes" the system will automatically test your connection you'll see a success message if everything is configured correctly using hugo plus searching and browsing images open the media library in your editor, click "add media" or go to media → library select hugo plus click the "hugo+" tab or chip to switch to hugo+ browsing mode search for images use the search bar to find images by keywords apply filters to narrow your results date range image type category source custom filters (if configured) browse results images appear as thumbnails with titles the newest images appear first use pagination to view more results importing images from hugo plus method 1 from media library find an image using search/browse (see above) click the image thumbnail to open the detail view review the image metadata click the "import" button the image is now available in your purple hub media library method 2 from article editor while editing an article, search for a hugo+ image select the image you want to use click "save" or "insert into article" the image is automatically imported to purple hub and added to your article what gets imported the image file (highest quality available) title and description caption and alt text metadata fields (copyright, keywords, etc as long as they are supported by the hub) exporting images to hugo plus upload an image upload a new image to purple hub enable export to hugo check the "export to hugo+" checkbox (enabled by default) select export channel choose the destination channel in hugo+ save the image click "save" the image is automatically uploaded to hugo+ settings and configuration connection settings hugoplus url the web address of your hugo+ system example format https //your hugo system com hugoplus token your authentication token for accessing hugo+ keep this secure and don't share it picture api token special token for uploading images to hugo+ different from your main token enable hugo integration toggle this on to activate the integration toggle off to temporarily disable without losing your settings filter configuration select custom fields that should be available as search filters these appear alongside standard filters (date, category, source) common workflows workflow 1 finding and using a stock photo open the article editor click "add media" switch to "hugo+" tab search for "landscape sunset" apply filters date = "last 30 days", type = "photo" click desired image click "insert into article" image is imported and inserted automatically workflow 2 publishing local images to hugo upload photos from your event to purple hub check "export to hugo+" box select export channel "editorial" click "save" images are now available in hugo+ for your entire organization tips and best practices for better search results use specific keywords "berlin marathon 2025" instead of just "sport" apply filters narrow by date range when looking for recent content check categories use category filters to find themed content quickly browse sources filter by photographer or agency for consistent style troubleshooting "hugo integration is not configured" problem the integration isn't set up yet solution go to media → integrations enter your hugo+ credentials check "enable hugo integration" click "save changes" "connection test failed" problem purple hub can't connect to your hugo+ system solutions verify your hugoplus url is correct check that your tokens haven't expired contact your administrator to verify your hugo+ account is active images not appearing in search problem you know an image exists in hugo+ but it doesn't show up in search solutions check your spelling try broader search terms remove filters that might be excluding the image
