overview the post inserter block is the core feature that makes newsletter creation efficient it allows you to automatically pull existing articles into your newsletter without manual copying and pasting post inserter adding the post inserter block in the newsletter editor, click to add a new block search for post inserter add the block to your newsletter configuring post display content settings in the sidebar panel for the post inserter block, configure what elements to display post title show/hide article titles post subtitle include subtitles if available post excerpt display article excerpts set maximum number of words for auto generated excerpts post content show full article content date display publication date featured image include article images author name show article authors continue reading link add links to full articles on your site select the articles in the insert posts block there are two ways to select the posts in the insert posts block automatic by applying filter options and amount control specific post selection pease note only published articles can be added to a newsletter automatic post selection filter options categories filter by specific categories tags filter by tags date range show articles from specific time periods publication status published articles only amount control use the slider to set the number of articles to display (typically 1 10 articles) specific post selection alternatively, enable display specific posts toggle on this option use the search bar to find individual articles select exactly which posts to include style each post inserter block can have its own styling text style heading style subtitle style advanced css style it would be adviced to save these styles once with the layout insert posts insert posts the posts inserter has an option to 'insert posts' it is not necessary to do this before an email is sended however it can be handy if there is a need to change texts change styles please note when clicking insert posts, this cannot be reversed and the posts inserter block will turn into regular mark up blocks advanced tip if you want to save a posts inserter block with a specific styling, please use the editors 'create pattern' functionality in this case the posts inserter block is saved as a pattern that you can add from the left side bar under my patterns
